Air & Space Operations
Cambridge Automation is an early-stage, veteran-owned startup focused on where air and space programs are headed—not on overstated past performance.
We are intentionally building toward participation in future aerospace missions by combining disciplined engineering practices, strong program and financial controls, deep federal procurement experience, and responsible AI technologies. We recognize that meaningful aerospace work is earned through measured contribution, trust, and performance over time.
Our leadership brings extensive experience operating within federal acquisition and procurement environments, informing how we structure teams, manage risk, and align technical work with contract requirements, funding constraints, and compliance expectations. As our capabilities mature, we intend to support programs associated with organizations such as the U.S. Space Force, NASA, Federal Aviation Administration, and aligned commercial space partners.
Our Direction
Cambridge Automation was founded on a simple belief:
Future aerospace missions will require tighter integration of engineering, cost, schedule, data, and human decision-making than legacy processes alone can provide.
Our objective is not to replace incumbent primes or established engineering organizations, but to augment and integrate them—bringing technical leadership, financial discipline, and procurement-aware execution into environments where mission assurance, safety, and compliance are non-negotiable.
How We Engage (Prime-Friendly & Risk-Mitigated)
Cambridge Automation is explicitly open to partnering with prime contractors through structures designed to reduce execution and acquisition risk, including:
- Teaming agreements supporting proposal development, program execution, or surge capacity
- Integrator or support roles, strengthening coordination across engineering, program management, finance, and contracting functions
- Joint ventures or mentor-protégé arrangements, where appropriate, to add differentiated capability while supporting small-business participation goals
Our federal procurement experience informs how these arrangements are structured—prioritizing clean scope definition, compliant flow-downs, clear authority boundaries, and low protest exposure.
Teaming & Joint Venture Opportunities
Cambridge Automation welcomes discussions with prime contractors seeking:
- A non-competitive integrator or augmentation partner
- Support for engineering, program management, cost analysis, or procurement-aligned execution
- Teaming or JV structures that reduce risk while satisfying small-business objectives
- A partner comfortable starting in clearly scoped, low-risk roles and expanding based on performance
We approach partnerships with a long-term, trust-based mindset, focused on strengthening the overall team rather than displacing incumbent capabilities.
Where We Add Value

- Technical Project Manager support aligned with contract requirements and acquisition milestones
- Engineering Lead / Technical Lead roles supporting system integration, interface management, and disciplined technical decision-making
- Translation between engineering teams, program offices, and contracting stakeholders
Financial Analysis & Cost Discipline
- Cost estimating, cost analysis, and financial modeling aligned with federal and aerospace acquisition practices
- Cost accounting advisory supporting compliant tracking of labor, indirects, and program costs
- Data-driven cost, schedule, and risk analytics supporting informed program and contracting decisions
AI-Assisted Engineering
- Decision-support tools for requirements analysis, system modeling, and early integration activities
- Emphasis on insight, traceability, and explainability—not autonomous authority
Program & Mission Support
- PMO augmentation, compliance-ready documentation, schedule analytics, and risk visibility
Safety & Responsible AI
- Compliance-first design, explainable AI, validation-driven deployment, and conservative adoption in high-consequence environments
Why Primes Partner With Us
